Terms of service
The terms under which businesses use ubooq for online booking: the service, obligations, fees, liability and termination.
Last updated: 9 October 2026
On this page
These terms govern the relationship between PORTUM VICTORIA, Ćikovići, Novo naselje 36c 51215 Kastav, OIB u postupku dodjele ("we") and the business entity that uses ubooq ("the business" or "you"). The service is meant only for business entities, such as sole traders and companies, not for consumers.
Definitions
- The platform is the ubooq service: the booking page, the admin, the emails and the other features described in Help.
- The business is the business entity that has a contract with us and uses the platform.
- A user is an owner or staff member of the business with access to the admin.
- A customer is a person who books an appointment with the business or whom the business enters in its calendar.
The contract
The contract is concluded when you accept our offer. We then set up your business on the platform and send the owner an invitation to the admin. These terms and the data processing agreement are part of the contract. Where the offer or a separate contract says otherwise, that agreement prevails.
What you get
- a booking page at yourbusiness.ubooq.com and, if you wish, on your own domain;
- an admin for you and your staff;
- confirmations, reminders and other notices to customers by email;
- the other features described on the Pricing page and in Help.
We keep developing and changing the platform. We will not remove a feature you use without at least 30 days' notice.
Your obligations
- The details of your business, services, prices and working hours that you publish must be accurate. You are responsible for them and for the services you provide to customers. The contract for a service is between you and your customer; we are not a party to it.
- You are the controller of your customers' data and inform them about its processing. Enter a link to your privacy policy in Settings → Details. If you don't, a default privacy notice in your business's name, built from the details you entered there, is shown with the booking form. You are responsible for the accuracy of those details and for whether the default notice is sufficient for your processing.
- You keep login details secret and are responsible for what your users do. When a staff member leaves, turn off their access.
- You do not use the platform unlawfully: not for unsolicited messages, not under someone else's name or trademark, and not for content that infringes the rights of others.
- You hold the necessary rights to the logo, names and texts you upload. You allow us to show them on your booking page, in emails and in the admin, as far as the service requires.
- You are responsible for your own domain, including its registration, renewal and DNS records.
Fees
Fees are paid as set out in the offer you accepted and within its deadlines. If an invoice remains unpaid 15 days after a reminder, we may suspend online booking and the admin until it is paid. Your data is kept in the meantime.
We may change the fees with at least 30 days' notice by email. If you do not agree with the change, you may terminate the contract before it takes effect.
The "Powered by ubooq" credit
Unless the offer says otherwise, a "Powered by ubooq" credit with a link to our website may be shown at the bottom of the booking page and the "My appointment" page, in the business's emails and in the admin.
Availability and support
We do our best to keep the platform running without interruption, but we do not guarantee that it will always be available and free of errors. We announce maintenance that interrupts the service whenever possible and do it at times with few bookings.
We hand emails over to a sending service, but we cannot guarantee that the customer's mail provider will deliver them.
We provide support through the contact form and by email at hello@ubooq.com, on working days.
Liability
We are liable for damage we cause intentionally or through gross negligence. For any other damage, including lost profit and damage caused by the platform being unavailable, our liability is limited to the fees you paid us in the 12 months before the event that caused the damage, to the extent permitted by law.
We are not responsible for the content you publish or for the relationship between you and your customers.
Temporary restriction of access
We may restrict access temporarily and without notice where this is necessary to prevent abuse, an attack or harm to other businesses or customers. We inform you without delay and give the reason.
Term and termination
The contract is concluded for an indefinite period, unless the offer says otherwise. Either party may terminate it in writing, including by email, with 30 days' notice. It may be terminated immediately for a serious breach.
Until the end of the notice period you can export your customers' data under Customers → Export (CSV). After the contract ends, we delete the business's data within 30 days, and it leaves the backups within the following 14 days. Data we must keep by law, such as invoices, is kept for as long as the law requires.
Changes to these terms
We announce changes to these terms by email at least 30 days before they take effect. If you do not agree with them, you may terminate the contract before that day.
Governing law and disputes
The contract is governed by the law of the Republic of Croatia. Disputes are decided by the competent court at our registered seat.
