Google reviews

How to ask customers for a Google review after their appointment, when and how often, and what the statistics show.

On this page

After their appointment, customers can get an email asking them to review your business on Google. The owner switches these requests on in Settings → Google reviews. Until you do, nothing is sent.

First enter the Google review link or Place ID:

  1. Open your Google Business Profile (business.google.com, or search for your business on Google while signed in).
  2. Choose Read reviews, then Get more reviews.
  3. Copy the link (it usually looks like https://g.page/r/…/review) and paste it into the settings.

Instead of the link you can enter your business's Place ID (it starts with ChIJ), and we make the link from it. The link from your profile is still better, because Google officially supports it. Only Google addresses are accepted. Try the saved link opens it so you can check that it leads to the right place.

When and to whom we send

Switch on Send review requests and choose:

  • When to send: from 1 hour to 1 day after the appointment. Until then you can mark the appointment as a no-show and no request is sent.
  • At most one request to the same person in: from 30 days to a year (90 days by default).

No request goes to:

  • appointments that were cancelled or marked as a no-show;
  • customers without an email address, with erased data or blocked;
  • customers who opted out through the link in the email or have already opened the review link;
  • appointments that ended before you switched requests on.

No filtering

Every customer gets the same invitation and the same link. We don't ask for a rating first to send only happy customers to Google, and we don't offer rewards for reviews. Google's rules require this. The email has a separate, equally visible option for the customer to write to you directly.

Statistics

Under the settings are statistics by month: how many requests were sent and how many customers opened the link. Opened links are counted, not written reviews: you see those in your Google profile.

The appointment's page in the admin shows whether the request for it was sent and when the link was opened.
